Ford Teases 2019 Edge Titanium Elite
Ford is creating hype as it teases details about its Edge lineup for 2019. After introducing the ST version earlier in 2018, the company is also giving attention to a new Titanium Elite appearance package.
The 2019 Ford Edge Titanium Elite boasts a full body color sides, unique 20-inch wheels, and a premium rear skid plate. The model will be making its official appearance during the Chicago Auto Show.
Ford is eager to use the increasing popularity of higher-end SUVs with the Titanium Elite. Higher-trim SUV sales for Ford went up by 6 percent in the past four years. During this same time, the brand has also enjoyed an 8-percent bump in sales of higher-trim Edge models, with the Sport and Titanium included.
Recently, Jim Hackett, CEO of Ford, mentioned that they were considering reallocation of $7 billion away from cars to SUVs and trucks. Given the sales numbers, that doesn’t come as a surprise at all.
