Chances of GT3 Power on Upcoming Porsche Boxster Spyder
Prior to Porsche introducing the latest generation of 718 Boxsters, it created a 3.8-liter H6 powered version of the predecessor and make it an iconic one. Well, as per what sources spotted testing in the Arctic Circle’s cold climates, the next Boxster Spyder might be coming in just a matter of time.
According to gathered reports, the Boxster Spyder will have most of its track-ready parts shared with the Cayman GT4, with the exception for its powerplant, which is the 4.0-liter naturally aspirated H6 which is derived from the Porsche 911 GT3. If there’s any truth to that, the Boxster Spyder is going to be one of the coolest Porsche models ever made road-legal.
As far as speculations go, the upcoming Spyder may have either a six-speed manual with an optional PDK dual-clutch automatic made accessible and available. Race enthusiasts might want to upgrade to the seven-speed PDK, but if your purpose is simply to enjoy driving this beauty, the six-speed is already a good choice in itself. There are predictions that Porsche might shave away little, unnecessary things from the Spyder like a sound deadening and power folding top.
We still don’t have any concrete evidence yet, so we are still left to our imagination as of the moment.
