Alfa Romeo Releases New Giulietta Sport
Alfa Romeo has unveiled a new, sporty version of the Giulietta hatchback, boasting a subtle, red body kit and impressive equipment roster.
The Giulietta Sport features five-hole, 17-inch alloy wheels like that of the Giulia Quadrifoglio supersaloon, while red detailing can be seen on the edges of the front and rear splitters. It also sports tinted rear windows, side skirts, extra large twin exhausts, and fog lights. This new model also has a Misano blue paint version which could be seen on the Giulia and Giulietta Veloce.
Emphasis on the new car has been put more on the driving experience than the engine performance. The company has two versions of the Giulietta Sport, one with 117bhp 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol, and another with 1.6-litre diesel engine. They take 9.4 and 10 seconds respectively to go from zero to 62mph, and then returning them to 45.6mpg and 74.3mpg.
The Giulietta Sport has interesting equipment built within it, such as the techno-leather steering wheel, cruise and climate control, five-inch Uconnect infotainment system, as well as a front armrest and Alfa Romeo’s DNA driving mode selector.
The Giulietta Sport is placed within the Giulietta range between an unnamed entry-level vehicle and the Tecnica. The price ranges from around £20,965 ($29,000) to £22,340 ($31,000) depending on the version availed. If you wish to get the Misano Blue paint version, there’s a £525 ($730) add-on to the price.
