2020 Mercedes S-Class Luxury Car Spotted for the First Time
The next-generation Mercedes S-Class has been snapped on camera even years before its official unveiling while it undergoes a cold weather assessment with Mercedes engineers.
Though the current version of Mercedes’ flagship saloon underwent a massive overhaul during the previous year, the photos serve as testament that a full replacement is just on the horizon, and will probably be officially released in 2020.
The S-Class is expected to be a tough rival to the Audi A8, as a reborn BMW 8 series will be spearheaded soon by a coupe version.
The spied photos of the S-Class still remains well hidden and camouflaged underneath a development mule masking, which is rather expected for a car that is still two years far off its launch. Be that as it may, it’s easy to think that it will be widely different from the design of the latest saloon entry to the Mercedes line-up, which is the CLS.
You can expect the new model to probably have sharp, swept back headlights with a new Panamerica style grille on the front. With that, evolutionary changes in the interior should match the exterior upgrades.
While Mercedes is adding a hybrid to the S-Class range with the S 560 e, there’s a huge possibility the S-Class luxury limo would have plug-in technology. High-performance, full-blooded AMG models will most likely be featured, as well as new AMG 53 48v mild hybrid performance variants. We can expect semi-autonomous driver assistance for the upcoming 2020 S-Class given the thought that it will be positioned as the technology flagship of Mercedes.
