2019 Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro Teases Prior Chicago Debut
Toyota’s previous teaser for its Chicago reveal barely unveiled anything as the trucks were small specs in a vast mountainous landscape picture. Now, Toyota has stated they will be introducing the 2019 TRD Pro lineup to Chicago, and something tells us it is going to be amazing.
In the new picture a unique black mesh grille with horizontal bar can be seen, as well as a large-font Toyota script which is also present on the current Tacoma TRD Pro, however there’s a very noticeable snorkel intake lining through the passenger-side A-pillar with the intake end sporting a TRD branding. Other details are hidden by dust and whatnot, but it is safe to assume it is going to have the same black wheels, and we’ll get more details next year.
The current TRD Pro has a lift of about an 1 inch in the front, thanks to the TRD coil springs, while the TRD Off Road leaf springs in the back, sporting Fox shocks that can handle damping duties. Goodyear Wrangler All-Terrain Adventure tires create traction, which are carefully positioned around 16-inch alloy wheels.
We’ll have to wait and see what it reveals during the Chicago Auto Show to confirm any speculation.
