The SUV and the R/T versions of the 2018 Dodge Durango will be sporting a set of custom stripes as well as a stack of optional performance upgrades.

Dodge is slating the updates that include a performance exhaust, carbon-fiber interior bits, and more in the upcoming 2018 Chicago Auto Show. As a start, Mopar’s performance lowering spring kit which is currently at $325 will be made available on the model next month.

“Our Dodge//SRT performance enthusiasts are always looking for ways to make their vehicle their own,” head of passenger cars for Dodge, Chrysler, and Fiat Steve Beahm mentioned in a statement. “The available stripes and carbon fiber throughout the interior really give Durango a custom look from the factory, and they are perfectly complemented by Mopar’s available exhaust systems and performance springs, which make Durango even more fun to drive.”

The Durango SRT’s lowering spring kit drops the SUV 0.6 inches nearer the pavement for a more comfortable handling, not to mention a more ominous facade on the road.

Dodge’s three-row Durango SRT 392 hides under the hood a 6.4-liter Hemi V-8 that is able to produce 475 hp and 470 lb-ft of torque. It can easily pull and tow up to 8,700 pounds as per the automaker. On the other hand, the 5.7-liter Hemi V-8 engine present in the R/T can get to 360 hp and 390 lb-ft and is capable of up to 7,400 pounds towing ability, while the base 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine is able to produce 295 hp and 260 lb-ft and is able to pull weight of up to 6,200 pounds. All engines are paired together with an eight-speed automatic transmission.

To make the automobile even more worthy, Mopar added new performance exhaust systems that costs around  $1,850 for the SRT and $1,595 for the R/T. You can already get the said system for the R/T now while the SRT’s will be made available on the second quarter.
